Secrets of Familiar Subjects
The second round of the Regional Competition «Secrets of Familiar Subjects» on physics within the framework of the «KavysЯ» Project (2018)
On November 28, 2018, the final («Quest») of the 2nd round of the regional competition “Secrets of familiar subjects” on physics within the framework of the “KavysЯ” project for the pupils of the 8th form of institutions of general secondary education took place.
In the final tour six teams of the 8th form pupils of the region secondary schools competed.
Pupils not only solved interesting physical tasks, but also made a trip to the historical places of the central part of the city of Lev, solving their tasks by thinking them out carefully, looking for hints and hidden details.
The contest was held with the support and assistance of:
- Lviv Regional State Administration;
- Communal Institution of Lviv Regional Council «Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education»;
- Physics Faculty of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv;
- Publishing House «Ranok»;
- «Perfectial» Ltd;
- «Symphony Solutions» Ltd.
As a result of the evaluation of the competition jury, 3 teams of 8th form pupils were awarded the Diplomas of І-ІІІ degrees, 3 teams – the Diplomas of the participants, and their teacher-consultants – the Certificates and Acknowledgments of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

On November 21, 2018, the semifinal of the 2nd round of the regional competition «Secrets of familiar subjects» on physics within the framework of the «KavysЯ» project for the pupils of the 8th form of institutions of general secondary education took place. According to the results of the first stage of the competition, 9 of the best teams were chosen, who used all their skills and abilities for searching the relationship between the laws of physics and the environment: the teams were offered ten experiments which were to be explained in terms of physics and the subject of the study to be specified. As a result of the competition, winners have been identified – 6 teams that will meet in the final of the competition.
