Mryglod Ihor Myronovych

(05.26.1960 Ternopil region.) The scientist in the field of soft matter and statistical physics. Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences (2000), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2012). Since May 2006 he has headed the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics NAS of Ukraine (Lviv). Professor of National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, branch manager of the Department of Materials Engineering and Applied Physics. Deputy Chairman of the Western Scientific Center of Ukraine. Among the research interests – the theory of phase transitions, nonequilibrium statistical physics; dynamical properties of substances and mixtures, methods of statistical physics in describing the phase behavior and calculating the phase diagrams of complex fluids, modeling and theory of catalytic reactions. Author of 300 scientific papers. Laureat of S.Pekar National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine award (2003). Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2004) and the award of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine “For scientific achievements” (2008).
