(04.12.1952, Lviv) Scientist in the field of materials science, Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Chairman of the Western Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, deputy director of the Physics and Mechanics Institute of G.Karpenko National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Research interests: theory of probing wave interaction with a system of arbitrary crack-like maсro defeсts of construction material, methods of analysis of the fine structure and properties of diffracted fields and defektometry and structureskopy. More than 200 scientific papers. Honored Scientist of Ukraine (2002). State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology (1995), K.Sypelnykov award(2001).
