Biography
Was born in August 11, 1942 in the village Koshlyaky, now Pidvolochysk district of Ternopil region. Physicist, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (“The two-sort system of charged interacting particles in the method of displacements and collective variables”, 1972), Senior Researcher (1980), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (“The theory of many-particle electron correlations in the metals”, 1987), Professor (2001). Graduated the Faculty of Physics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (1964), Postgraduate Studies (1971). In 1964-1968 – Assistant of Department of Theoretical Physics of Lviv University. 1971-1990 – Senior Researcher, Leading Researcher of Lviv Department of Institute of Theoretical Physics URSR Academy of Sciences; 1990-1996 – Head of Department of Theory of Multielectron systems of Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 1996-2015 – Head of Department of Astrophysics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Since 2015 – Professor of Department of Astrophysics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
