Research interests

  • optical and electrophysical properties of transitive polymers;
  • studying the structure and electronical properties (Electronic conductivity, EPR, absorption spectrum) of the conjugated polymers;
  • researching the changes of these properties, depending on temperature, external electric field and the way of receiving the films of electric conductive polymers and composites on their basis.

Scientific biography

Oksana Konopelnyk graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (LNU) in 2000, and received a full higher education in Physics and got a qualification of a physicist.

In 2000–2003 she was a post-graduate student on  the Department of General Physics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

From 2003 to 2008 Oksana Konopelnyk worked as a lecturer and since February 2008 has been working as an associate professor at the Department of General Physics, Faculty of Physics, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

In 2004 she defended her Ph.D. thesis named “Optical properties and electrical conductivity of organic semiconductors based on conjugated polyarylenes” and was awarded the academic degree of the Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences specializing in Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics.

In 2011 she was awarded with the academic status of the associate professor of the Department of General Physics.

She managed the theme F 27 / 61–2010 “The influence of physical and chemical factors on the electronic properties of conjugated polyarylenes” (February – November, 2010). The theme was funded by the State Fund for Basic Research of the Ministry of Education and Science as a Grant of the President of Ukraine to support the research of young scientists.

In addition, in different years Oksana Konopelnyk was the performer of state budget themes. She has published 126 scientific papers, received 6 patents for inventions and utility models of Ukraine.
