CALCULATION OF OPTICAL SPECTRA IN THE FUNDAMENTAL ABSORPTION RANGE FOR CRYSTALS WITH THE INVERSION OF BIREFRINGENCE SIGN

A new method for the fundamental absorption spectra calculation of crystalline dielectrics on the basis of experimentally measured refractive index dispersion in the range of transparency has been presented. Peculiarities of fundamental dichroism spectra (electron and phonon) of crystals possesing the inversion of birefringence sign in the region of transparency have been studied. Characteristic inversion of the fundamental dichroism sign and the respective change of valence electron parameters anisotropy durring the change of the characteristic electron energy have been investigated.
