INVESTIGATION OF LATTICE DYNAMICS FOR SOLID C60

A calculation of the vibrational spectrum of intermolecular modes of the low-temperature orientationally ordered crystalline phase of fullerene C$_{60}$ is carried out in the approximation of intermolecular potential which includes two contributions: the atom-atom Lennard-Jones (12-6) potential and the electrostatic potential of charges located at the single and double bonds. Sound velocities, elastic constants and bulk modulus are calculated using the perturbation theory. The obtained results were compared with the available experimental data.
