GLASS-FORMATION ABILITY AND PROPERTIES OF GLASSES IN Sb–Se SYSTEM

Preparation conditions and some physico-chemical and thermodynamic parameters of glasses in Sb-Se system have been studied. The ‟imaginary” activation energies of viscous flow $E_η $ and crystallization $E_{\rm CM}$ have been calculated. The increase in the content of stibium in the composition of Sb$_{x}$Se$_{1-x}$ glasses has been established to result in the increase of their crystallization ability. Within the free volume theory based on the experimental data obtained the void formation energy $E_{h}$ and the void volume $V_{h}$ in glasses have been calculated. Cincentrational dependences of the studied and calculated parameters of Sb$_{x}$Se$_{1-x}$ glasses have been analyzed. Some conclusions about their structure have been made.
