FLUCTUATIONS OF ORDER PARAMETER IN SMECTIC LIQUID CRYSTAL WITH MICROSCOPIC IMPURITIES

We consider smectic liquid crystal with microscopic impurities. To analyze the influence of impurities on statistical correlations of order parameter we propose the Hamiltonian by means of which the system is studied. In our interpretation microscopic impurities can be considered as a separate isotropic subsystem that characterized by a scalar order parameter. The interaction of smectic liquid crystalline subsystem and impurity particles subsystem is accounted on the level of the interaction between the respective order parameters.
