FLARE ENERGY RELEASE AND MODULATION OF MICROWAVE EMISSION BY ALFVEN OSCILLATIONS OF SOLAR CORONAL ARCS

The modulation of gyrosynchrotron emission caused by Alfven oscillations of coronal arcs is considered. On the basis of Dulk's formulae the modulation depths $M$ for Stokes parameters $I$ and $V$ are calculated. It has been shown that intensity $I$ of the optically thin source is the most sensitive for Alfven disturbances when the angle between the direction of the magnetic field and the line of sight $θ \lesssim 60^\circ$. Some consequences of the obtained results are discussed falling back on the 15 April 2002 event.
