The theory for the mechanical moment transfer to the asymmetrical nanoparticle from the ultrashort laser pulse is developed. It is established that the optical conductivity becomes a tensor for the particle sizes less than the electron free pass in it. The diagonal elements of this conductivity define the half-widths of the plasmon resonances. The expressions for the components of the polarization tensor of a spheroidal metallic nanoparticle is obtained.
