The temperature and spectral dependences of the refractive indices $n_i$ and birefringence $Δ n_i$ of triglicyne sulfate (TGS) crystals doped by D-serine were studied. The decreasing of $n_x$ and $n_z$ ($\thicksim$1-3$\cdot10^{-3}$) and incresing of $n_y$ ($\thicksim$ 2 $\cdot 10^{-3}$) were observed. The Selmeer formula parameters, refraction and electron polarisability were calculated. The observed changes are due to the known increasing of mechanical and dielectric rigidity of doped crystals and decreasing of spontaneous polarization as well as changes of the refraction components of the organic sublattice.
