A geometrical interpretation of electromagnetism on the basis of Riemann-Cartan geometry is proposed. The electromagnetic field is related to the torsion of space-time continuum. It is shown that a completely antisymmetric contorsion tensor, which imposes a normalization condition, allows to form geometrical tensors components classical field Lagrangian that corresponds to the Einstein-Maxwell set of equations. As a result it is possible to formulate a unified theory of classical interactions which fully conforms to the known physical laws. The formulated theory also explains the accelerated expansion of the Universe, linking it with a geometric source of gravity in the form of the $Λ$-term.
