The paper discusses the process of dimerization in saturated water vapor on the basis of the experimental values of the static dielectric constant of the system. It is shown that in the temperature range (273-600)\,K water vapor constitutes the ensemble of dimers of molecules of water. The magnitude and irreducible particle contributions to polarizability dimers, the dipole moment of the water dimer as well as dimer configuration are discussed too.
