For the analysis of phonon states dispersion in isostructural ZnP$_2$ and CdP$_2$ tetragonal crystals the method of projective representations of wave vector groups was applied. For lattices of the considered crystals at $Γ$, $Z$ and $Λ$ points irreducible projective representations of wave vector groups was constructed and influence of time inversion on energy spectra of elementary excitations at these points was taken into consideration. Application of the theory is illustrated by the description of energy spectra of phonon states at tetragonal crystals ZnP$_2$ and CdP$_2$. The spectra were investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The classification of dispersion curves of phonon states at divisible Jones' zones for their plotting was used.
