Using the Jones matrix technique, an approach is developed for describing the multiple beam interference in crystalline plates with a general character of optical anisotropy which is applicable in a practical approximation of weak anisotropy. The working relations are obtained for the most commonly used methods for measuring crystal optical parameters. The influence of multiple reflections on the parameters of a row of crystals are studied experimentally. A comparison of theoretical and experimental data proves the validity of the approach.
