STOCHASTIC RESONANCE AND PARAMETRIC AMPLIFICATION

Stochastic resonance and parametric amplification are compared in a generic model $\frac{dx}{dt} - x+x^3=a \sin ν t +ξ(t)$. It was shown that the introduction of power amplification in agreement with input-output amplification of the power circuit with nonlinear resistance provides some useful information on the properties characteristic of stochastic resonance.
