On October 9-12, 2023, the innovative conference Photonics Days Berlin Brandenburg 2023 was held in Berlin. The head of the theoretical physics department, prof. Volodymyr Tkachuk and Prof. Khrystyna Gnatenko. Prof. Volodymyr Tkachuk shared the results of studies of spin-1 tunneling on IBM’s quantum computer and new quantum algorithms for solving applied problems (topics of presentations “Studies of Spin-1 Tunneling on IBM’s Quantum Computer”, “New quantum algorithm for achieving quantum supremacy with development of multi-qubit quantum devices”). Prof. Khrystyna Gnatenko spoke about the original algorithms for finding the energy levels of spin systems and studies of the properties of quantum graph states (the topic of the report “Noise-resistant quantum algorithms for detection of the energy levels of physical systems and quantifying graph properties with quantum programming”). The talks were mainly baised on the papers  [Kh. P. Gnatenko, V. M. Tkachuk Eur. Phys. J. Plus 138, No. 4, 346 [8 p.] (2023); Kh. P. Gnatenko, H. P. Laba, V. M. Tkachuk Eur. Phys. J. Plus 137, No. 4, 522 [10 p.] (2022); Kh. P. Gnatenko, H. P. Laba, V. M. Tkachuk Phys. Lett. A 452, 128434 (2022) ; Kh. P. Gnatenko, H. P. Laba, V. M. Tkachuk Phys. Lett. A 452, 128434 (2022); Kh. P. Gnatenko, N. A. Susulovska EPL (Europhys. Lett.) 136, No. 4, 40003 (2021); Kh. P. Gnatenko, V. M. Tkachuk Phys. Lett. A 396, 127248 (2021)].

Scientists were invited to the conference by Mike Richardson – project manager of the German OptecBB cluster during his visit to Lviv in August this year. Mike Richardson has repeatedly visited Lviv and other cities of Ukraine to establish cooperation in the fields of quantum technologies and  actively supports Ukrainian researchers.
