Scientific biography

In 2015 Vasyl Baliha graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with honors. Has received a full higher education in the specialty of “Physics” and got a Master’s degree in Physics (Bachelor’s degree with honors in the specialty of “Physics”, qualification – Bachelor of Physics, Teacher of Physics (2013)).

From November 2015 he was a postgraduate student of the Department of Quantum Statistics at the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the NASU. He graduated from the Ph.D. program in October 2018.

From November 2018 to December 2021 he worked as a junior research fellow of the Quantum Statistics Department at the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the NASU.

The thesis is “Effects of frustration in quantum Heisenberg antiferromagnets on bilayer lattices“. Professor O. V. Derzhko is a supervisor of his thesis. Vasyl Baliha defended his Ph.D. thesis on 15 May 2019. He was granted the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences by specialty in Theoretical Physics on 20 June 2019.
